Firsts and Chanukah

What a week!

My wonderful hubby had bilateral knee replacement surgery last Thursday. yesterday, he was walking a few steps, i mean up and down steps!. He is unbelievable! Ron is definitely my hero. His determination and will goes beyond anything I have seen.

It will be a strange Chanukah this year since he won’t be home for at least a good part of it, so our youngest son Nathan bought an electric chanukiah that I will take to the hospital with me tomorrow night, the first night, after I play the candle lighting at the Promenade in Coconut Creek at 6PM. We will light the first candle and eat latkes and soufganiot together.

What a treat last week at the Chanukah shows. I was proud of all my classes. It is not easy for people to perform in front of an audience. Can you imagine how preschoolers feel? My older students from the Chabad school I am Music Specialist for will be performing at The Court and The Renaissance this week, as well as at the Promenade for the Candle lighting tomorrow night at 6PM. It will be a fun week.

I wish everyone a happy and joyous Chanukah. May our Chanukah lights shine so bright that they carry us through all of life’s adventures and journeys.
