What an unbelievable morning at Temple Beth Orr!
We haven’t had school for two Sundays, and our 4th and 5th graders were to sing at the Yom HaShoah program this morning. We got together for 20 minutes and went through the song “I still Believe,” three times and spoke with the students about the meaning of the lyrics and I explained to them that we need to sing it with heart which would come out through their voices. They came through so beautifully!
The synagogue’s service was tastefully and wonderfully done, a tribute to the six million we lost. Between Rabbi Mark Gross, the choir the instrumentalists, and our students (including the 7th graders who led a lot of the service), I had tears in my eyes.
Kol haKavod to all!
